The book that began it all for my daughter, Jennifer Joy, is FREE for the next four days only.
When Fitzwilliam Darcy’s arranged life falls to pieces, his father, Mr. George Darcy, gives him an ultimatum: Marry by the end of the London Season or risk disinheritance. Can Darcy cast aside society’s frigid attitude toward marriage and find true love? Or will his desire to honor his deceased mother’s memory hold him back?
Elizabeth Bennet faces the greatest challenge of her life: Find a husband by the end… of the London Season or be forced to marry the heir apparent of her family home, Mr. Collins. A romantic at heart, will Elizabeth find a gentleman to meet her high expectations?
After a disastrous meeting, Darcy and Elizabeth determine not to like each other.
But, the London Season has only begun…

Just to freshen things up a bit, my cover designer, Jane Dixon-Smith of JD Smith Designs, has updated the cover to the anthology I published last year called “One Love – Two Hearts – Three Stories”. It should be online by the end of the week – I hope.
The two of us arranged two photo shoots in the spring of 2016. The first one was for the cover of “The Abominable Mr. Darcy (TAMD)”. If you look closely, you will notice the clothing on my work-in-progress cover is the same as worn by the male model for TAMD. A bit of fancy Photoshopping, I think. The second shoot had several Regency period-correct costumes and several female models. The ladies from my new anthology cover and the cover to “Friends and Enemies” are both from that shoot.
Here is the new cover in comparison with the old. Definitely more fitting to the overall themes of the three stories, don’t you think? (Old – left, New – right)
Despite the chaos of my life right now, my cover designer has been working her fingers to the bone. Not only did she finish the cover for the story I’m currently posting on fanfiction.net and beyondausten.com (Friends and Enemies), she’s redesigning the cover for my anthology, “One Love – Two Hearts – Three Stories”. I hope to have a sneak peek of its new cover out to you soon.
“Friends and Enemies” tells a story of change. The tale starts with Miss Lydia Bennet boldly telling Fitzwilliam Darcy how much her sister despises him. When this is followed up by criticism from both Charles Bingley and Colonel Fitzwilliam, he vows to change. However, circumstances place him in close contact with Elizabeth Bennet where her wary heart does not automatically return his regard nor see his attempts in self-improvement. Of course, they will have their happily-ever-after, but not until they are both stripped bare of pretense and pride. They both use their disappointment with themselves (and each other) to build marvelous characters. Oh, sigh! This is, by far, my most angst-ridden novel.
Without further ado, here is the front cover of “Friends and Enemies” –
My editor (of The Abominable Mr. Darcy) and friend, Christina Boyd has won the prize of a lifetime, an all expense paid trip to London with a face-to-face visit with her book boyfriend, Henry Cavill. Please click on the link to see her reaction: Henry & Christina
I have to tell you that I’m particularly fond of two of these items. The porcelain doll is precious. I do not read the original language of the accompanying book, but the pictures inside are lovely. The calendars? Oh, my!!! Swoon! Janet Taylor has outdone herself for 2017.
The February newsletter should reach your email on February 1st. I’ve included the password to access the free stories and there’s a new one about my version of how Darcy and Bingley met. I had to polish up my Latin (what Latin? I didn’t study any languages in school). Well, I had to polish up on Google Translate.
You can’t win if you aren’t signed up for my newsletter. As always, all my drawings are available internationally.
I hate to disappoint. It’s the eBook that is free, not Mr. Darcy himself. Though would you want him when he’s still abominable? Would you be able to motivate him to change like Miss Elizabeth Bennet did? I hope so. Poor man! He desperately needed some feminine guidance.
Due to being accepted for a BookBub deal (a huge thing in book advertising), this eBook will be free in ALL Amazon markets until the 24th so be sure and get your copy today. Some who have taken advantage of this sale were also able to obtain the audiobook via Audible.com for only $1.99. How is that for a bargain?

Finally, while I’m having a delightful time visiting family in Ecuador, I’ve not forgotten the giveaway for those who have signed up for my newsletter. My generous sister, Rita, donated a lovely red journal where the lined pages are actually the miniature text of Pride and Prejudice. Truly! We are heading to the Amazon jungle tomorrow and I’m going shopping. I just bet some of what I purchase will also be given away on December 31st. The mailman loves me because I don’t mind paying postage to foreign locales. Please feel free to enter no matter where you live. If you receive mail, you qualify to win one of the prizes.
My family and I do not celebrate the holidays so I will wish you the best for the remainder of this year and the start of 2017.
Jane Austen must be the most generous person to have lived. Why? Because of her, my family has received so much over the past 2 1/2 years. Therefore, to pay it back or pay it forward, the prices of all my Pride and Prejudice variations have been lowered to $3.82 and will stay that way until December 31st. Happy shopping/reading!!!

While I loved the original cover of Love Letters, not everyone saw my vision. So I went shopping at Richard Jenkins Photography in the UK and purchased the licensing for another image. I LOVE it! You want to see?
It should be live by tonight for eBook and the weekend for print. Audio will take a few weeks. Lovely, isn’t she?
I’m beyond excited to reveal my latest book, which is now available for pre-order at Amazon. The release date is next Thursday, November 24th. Even though that date is the national day of Thanksgiving, I’m truly grateful and thankful each day for the blessings I have.
