Something New!

Hello! Since I started publishing I have taken advantage of offers from Amazon to make some of my books available for free download. In the past two years the seven books I’ve discounted have been downloaded 135,247 times. For some reason giving away all of those copies tickles me.

One thing I have not done that Amazon offers is a countdown deal. I thought that since it’s back to school time, perhaps I should take advantage. I am not sure how many I can do at one time, but I’d like to offer three Christie Capps and three J Dawn King books starting August 31st (isn’t that a holiday weekend in the US?). Do you have a preference? If so, please leave a comment below.

These are some of the choices available.

Here are a few more titles I couldn’t fit in the picture.
You could choose this one, or…
Perhaps this one? Or…
Have you read this one yet? Please, let me know.

Having read all your novels I would have to check to see which ones I own and which I borrowed through KU. August 31st is our 51st anniversary so a love story would be appropriate. I will have to get to that. Thank you.

Checking back in: the only books I don’t own (and most of them are in paperback, one is in Kindle) are Mr. Darcy’s Bad Day and One Bride & Two Grooms. I also don’t own either book in your When Boys Were Men series. You are most generous. Hope you and yours are well. School started here yesterday.

We are so happy here in Ecuador, Sheila. I got my latest lab tests back on Friday and there is a bit of improvement which we are thrilled about. The rest will be available late this afternoon. For once, I’m not dreading them. Thank you for checking your library. HUGS!!!

I haven’t read Something as yet so that would be my choice. I have the other two but my queue on my Kindle is 19 pages long, so I have quite gotten there as yet.

    • J "Joy" Dawn King

I think my queue on my Kindle is about the same. Thanks so much for checking, Kathy. Happy reading! (By the way, you can search by author name on Kindle. That’s how I always check if I have a book or not)

The Bride with two Grooms, His Frozen Heart, Something. I have read all the others and have them on my Kindle, I love your books. I am waiting on A Baby FOR Mr Darcy.

    • J "Joy" Dawn King

I appreciate you so much, Gail. Thank you for letting me know which ones you are missing. And thank you for your encouragement. I typed another 1,200 words since I typed this post. I’m determined to get this story done ASAP.

  • Glynis

I have all your books apart from One Bride, Two Grooms which is on my list!
I hope you are settled in your new home and finding time to write – OK! I admit I’m looking forward to the baby story! I just love that gorgeous baby!
Thank you for offering to discount your books – so kind

    • J "Joy" Dawn King

You are most welcome, Glynis. I finished another chapter on “A Baby for Mr. Darcy” about five minutes ago. This story is moving fast through my brain so I need to get it on paper quickly. I am just over 1/3 finished if I stick to my outline. I suspect it will be my longest book so far. Boy, do I love this Darcy and Elizabeth. That that baby? Yes!

  • J. W. Garrett

I have everything written under JDK & CC except The Letter of the Law.

Your offer is very generous and I am sure everyone will appreciate the countdown pricing on which ever book[s] you choose. Those are so much fun. Blessings…

  • Shelley Hoisington

I am ecstatic that your new book is coming along. The only book I don’t have is Friends and Enemies of your. On the Christie Capps books One Bride & Two Grooms, Something: Regency, Romantic, Rollicking & Reflective, and Elizabeth. I am looking forward to the countdown. Thank you.

  • Lisa

I have been wanting Compromised, Yes, Mr. Darcy and One Love Two Hearts. I love all your books and read them often. Just finished your new CC. I loved it. Hope you are enjoying your new home. I am excited at the thought of a new book by JDK!

    • J "Joy" Dawn King

Oh, Lisa, your comment made me smile. I’m happy you liked One Bride and Two Grooms. Boy, was it ever fun to write. 20,000 words in six days. I’ve never done that before. This JDK story is much slower because the emotions are poignant. Plus, Nicole Clarkston is forever reminding me to SLOW DOWN with the story. Having writer friends is a treat until it isn’t. (LOL).

  • Cheryl Kepler

Love your stories and have taken advantage of past sales in some instances. Would like to see “Letter of the Law” “Something Regency, Reflective, Rollicking, Romantic”, “Hide & Seek”, “The Abominable Mr. Darcy”, and/or “Something Old/New/Later/True “. Of course, the “Something . . .” books are cheating, since they have 4 stories in them, but I love them all and re-read on KU when possible.
I have a note on my Wish List that you had a story called “Finding Their Way” as a WIP, but I don’t find a record of it anywhere as finished. Is that a story I missed or perhaps the title was changed?
Thank you again for your creativity and generous spirit in making your work affordable for us!

    • J "Joy" Dawn King

Thanks for commenting, Cheryl. Finding Their Way is STILL a work-in-progress. For some reason, each time I sit down to work on it another story demands being told instead. However, I’ve not completely given up on it. I hope you were able to get some of the other books.

  • Buturot

I have always enjoyed your stories Ms Dawn. I am glad i looked today as I would have missed your offers. You are so generous. I have a lot of your books and trying to budget and buy the new ones one at a time. Now I can buy more at once.
