Though an avid fiction reader, Joy Dawn King did not read Jane Austen until she was 55 years old. It was love at first read. While living in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador in 2014, she wrote her debut novel, A Father’s Sins: A Pride and Prejudice Variation.
In 2015, Joy published two additional Pride and Prejudice variations: the anthology One Love – Two Hearts – Three Stories and the novel Compromised!
At the beginning of 2016, Joy published two books in the When Boys Were Men memoir series. Both were labors of love for two gentlemen who wanted to be remembered after their impending deaths.
On May 1st, she released Yes, Mr. Darcy, her first stand-alone novella and followed it in June with The Abominable Mr. Darcy.
Joy is currently living back in the U.S., in the beautiful state of Oregon, with her husband, John, and is finishing the revisions for her Bingley/Jane story called Finding Their Way.
So many stories…so little time to write them.
