Is it true? Is there more happiness in giving than receiving? Oh, yes!
So you know, the giveaway for my June newsletter is four (4) Amazon gift cards valued at $25.00 each. While it would be wonderful to receive one, I’m REALLY looking forward to July’s giveaway. I’ve been shopping and collecting again. My husband, John, is sincerely happy I’m giving. Thankfully, he understands me.
Be sure to sign up for my newsletter (that’s all it takes to enter) because here’s what’s coming July 1st:
- Sock-It-To-Me “Socks & Sensibility” Knee High Socks
- Socksmith “Jane Austen” Socks
- “I’d Rather Be at Pemberley” Coffee Mug
- Jane Austen Memo Pad
- Jane Austen Books Coaster Set
Best of wishes to you all! (I’d love to keep the coaster set. They are tile with a cork back in a gorgeous wood case. And, of course, I’d love to drink my tea in the mug, wear the socks when my feet get chilled and take copious notes in the memo pad. Sigh! They aren’t for me.)
I’m thinking August will be all about Pride & Prejudice. I have notebooks and a tote bag and a cosmetic bag and…I’m still shopping! Poor John!!! (Tee-Hee!)
I can see why you would love those coasters. So cool! You are so nice to have these give-aways.
Thank you, kneyda. I purchased the last set they had available at the time. I do hope they get more in because I truly would love these in my living room. John is notorious for setting his coffee mug on my wooden table tops. Of course, if he was drinking out of a Pemberley mug, I might be more forgiving – or not.
They look wonderful, Joy!!! 😀
I’m headed to the gym right now and think everyone would notice if I wore the purple socks. They are safe because I don’t want to call any attention to my clumsy self. Have a great day.
Oh, as always, these giveaways are open internationally.
My daughter and son-in-law have given me several owl themed socks as I collect miniature figurines of those…so why not JA socks. I do have some coasters but not of this higher quality so they would be a nice additions also. Joy, you are so generous and I do agree that there is more pleasure in giving than in receiving. Thank you for being that person.
You are welcome, Sheila. We are kindred spirits, I believe. Best to you in the drawings this month and next. And the next. And the next.
You do come up with such lovely and fun gifts for your giveaways. Thank you for giving of yourself in this way.
I truly enjoy shopping and giving it away, Lynn. Now, if it was kitchen gadgets? NEVER!!!
Any of them would be wonderful. Yes, I do enjoy giving. But it has to be something I make. Can’t afford too much. Our Wedding Anniversary is Coming up so we will get lots of presents from my side of the family. My sister’s Anniversary is just 2 days after and we can’t afford much but they appreciate anything we can give. I do use coasters all the time and have some cheap ones right now that I’m using. Love ya Joy.
I love you too, Fawn. Congrats on the upcoming anniversary. Best wishes in the drawings.
It’s always nice to get such thoughtful gifts
Yes, it is nice when something makes an effort to think of a perfect gift. Hmmm! I think that sounds a bit like the storyline of my next Christie Capps book. How about that?
I always find that the reward in giving is that much more happiness and smiles all around! Thank you again for finding some awesome gifts to giveaway.
I believe we are kindred spirits as well, Carole. Best to you and yours.
I have seen those coasters and been tempted to give myself a present. You do truly find the most incredible prizes. Your generous nature is amazing. I too find myself searching and searching for that perfect gift to give. It is a wonderful feeling.
I completely agree, Becky. And there’s something so wonderful about Jane Austen readers. They are the easiest to shop for (and the funnest – well, except for my grandchildren).
What a lovely set of gifts you’ve found, Joy. It’s so typically generous of you to do this for us. Thank you/
I have one of the “I’d rather be at Pemberley” handbag mirrors, which I don’t actually use – it sits on a display unit in the Austenesque corner of my study. The mug would have to sit next to it if I was lucky enough to win it. The coasters would also end up on display somewhere nearby. I’d wear the socks though! I tend to get cold feet in the winter, especially at night, and you can imagine the complaints I get when I try to use hubby as a hot water bottle!
I’m with you on the socks, Anji. One day I hope to see your display in person. I’d love to come to England. One day…
It’s hard to say what I love the most in this giveaway Joy. I am completely addicted to memorabilia. I love everything related to Jane Austen 🙂 Clothing, office suplies, kitchen utensils, etc…I wouldn’t mind making a living by creating these wonderful things 🙂
With your creativity, Rita, I think I would be broke shopping at your Jane Austen store. I confess that I’m slightly addicted to hunting down unique gifts for my giveaways. It’s truly fun.
Thank you Joy 🙂 I would really like to do that, it would give a lot of pleasure to come up with new ideas for new products, so who knows, maybe one day you’ll be my best customer and John will really hate me for tempting you 🙂
