Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! Amazon released the Kindle version of my new book today – 4 days early. How cool is that! Here’s the link so you can check it out. Just click on the book cover.
How did I miss this blog, Joy. I did sign up and SORRY for not being here sooner. I would love a chance at winning the JA merchandise. Take care of yourself. And I loved your book, as you know.
First of all I would like to say awesome blog!
I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you
do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center
yourself and clear your mind prior to writing.
I’ve had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out.
I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first
10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Kudos!
I wish there was an easy answer, Jaynie. For me, my environment has to be quiet so I write when my husband is at work or asleep. Before I sit down, I lay down, close my eyes, and picture my characters in my head (which is why it’s been so important for me to have David Gandy as my Mr. Darcy because I have a whole Pinterest board with his pictures). I set my last scene that I typed and move them in my imagination from there. Then, I type.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to write again. My email is: jdawnking@gmail.com
Wonderful post but I was wondering if you could write
a litte more on this topic? I’d be very grateful
if you could elaborate a little bit further. Thanks!
